What this site is
Para Labs is an independent research lab. You can read it without creating an account. There is no login, checkout, newsletter form, or comment system.
What we collect
In your browser. The theme toggle stores a paralabs-theme key in localStorage so the next visit can keep light or dark. The optional human/machine view stores pl-view-mode the same way. Both stay on your device; the server does not read them.
On the host. The site is served from a CDN/application host (currently Vercel). That operator logs ordinary request metadata — IP address, user-agent, path, referrer, timing — to operate the network and investigate abuse. We do not run a first-party analytics product on top of that.
Outbound resources. The footer links to ChatGPT and Gemini visibility-audit tools, which are third-party services with their own policies. Following those links leaves this site.
What we do not collect
- No accounts or passwords.
- No payment data.
- No first-party advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.
- No contact form fields. The contact page uses a public email address and does not submit personal information to this origin.
How long logs last
Hosting logs follow the host's retention. We do not operate a separate marketing database of readers.
Contact about privacy
Privacy questions use the same editorial mailbox as corrections: [email protected]. See Contact.
Changes
If collection practices change — for example a first-party analytics tool — this page will change first. The machine-readable twin is privacy.md.
